Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)

Did you know that if you are assaulted and suffer an injury you may be able to claim compensation from the state regarding that injury?

There is a statutory scheme which enables you to make a claim for compensation for injury sustained as a result of criminal offence committed against you. There is a tariff system which means that different types of injuries receive different levels of award. It is also possible, in certain circumstances, to claim for expenses caused by the incident or for loss of earnings, if you are off work for a long time.

You have only two years from the date of any incident in which to make a claim, so you would need to act promptly in deciding whether to make a claim or not.

Our highly experienced solicitors have over 10 years of experience in dealing with such claims.

If you think you may have a claim that we can help you with, please contact us on 0116 2999 199 or via this website and let our friendly, professional staff discuss your claim with you.
